Under the cut you will find the list of everyone’s costumes as well as lists for the couples romantic and platonic. The voting for the costume contest this year will be done here. We ask that you choose your top 5 favorites in each category but then rank the order in which you’d rate them in the ‘other’ option. If you’ve got any questions about how that works, do not hesitate to ask us. The ranking per usual goes five points for first place, four points for second and so on so please put your votes in order accordingly. Whenever I meet one who carries a cedar wand, I find strength of character and unusual loyalty. My father, Gervaise Ollivander, used always to say, ‘you will never fool the cedar carrier,’ and I agree: the cedar wand finds its perfect home where there is perspicacity and perception. I would go further than my father, however, in saying that I have never yet met the owner of a cedar wand whom I would care to cross, especially if harm is done to those of whom they are fond. BACKGROUND/HISTORY

Pre Hogwarts: He was born to elderly parents ( on the last years before his mother went through the change/became unable to have kids) They did their best with him and cherished him but it was a bit of a quiet and sometimes lonely life. He learned to be by himself and keep himself occupied as his parents got older as he grew. When he was 6 he was attacked and bitten by a werewolf, though he survived he had lycanthropy passed on to him.

1st Year: He was kept at home even more due to his condition. Spent a lot of time with his parents. Struggled with the physical drain of lycanthropy. Begged his parents to let him go to Hogwarts and finally wore them down. Roomed with William Ronsen ( @unfortunate-arrow) was lowkey afraid his dog could tell he was a werewolf. Got real good at getting out of his room on full moon nights.

2nd Year: tbd Mostly just stresses about keeping his furry little secret a secret and not getting jumped or kicked out. Like. Stresses. A Lot.

3rd Year: Took Divination ( did not do well ) Care Of Magical Creatures ( Did okay) and Ancient Runes ( absolutely fell in love with it)

4th Year: One of his parents passes away.

Meet the Candidates ft: Elijah Thorne

What they are known for in the community: A well known political commentator hidden away in the depths of Blackwell Media, his portfolio mostly consists of conspiracy theories that have stemmed from too much use of his other past time, a long time fan of cannabis, Elijah has gotten himself the reputation of being a kook. Very few people take him seriously, despite the fact that there is a basis of truth beneath the craziness of his theories and he has decided to run to allow his, and the small following he has, voices to be heard. And that of those voices that lurk in his mind of course.

What does this character hope to achieve as mayor: Totally tubular town events that you can leave with your limbs and sanity in tact. He wants supernatural and humanity cohabitation, but he doesn’t agree with the Clave’s tactics.He wants to work with the humans and the originals to work on supernatural prejudice.

Give us a little blurb in this character’s voice about running and they chose to do this: “…Uh, yo , sup I’m Elijah, some of y’all may know me as the political commentator for Blackwell Media, commenting on the little known facts that plagued our political history. That’s why I decided to run, to give you, our wonderful town, a better chance. To promote the peaceful cohabitation between the supernatural and human communities. To stop the threat of the Clave, and to have a town event that doesn’t end up in disaster.”

Policies they’d like to enforce or support: Elijah supports the building of peaceful relationships between humans and supernaturals, to have each supernatural feel that they can live their life freely and without fear.

What kind of campaign are they running: He’s just dumb, he’s the token candidate that spouts of his crazy theories, and whilst there are some factual parts to them (for example, if you search enough, he called out Mayor Cresswell as pro clave but he also in the same post said he was a drag queen named Tallulah in the eighties). He would be easily outwitted, totally high in the debates and is honestly just a humorous candidate.

How are they choosing to promote themselves: Sprouting free weed, with notes saying totally tubular vote for me. But totally forgot to add who he was and how to vote for him.

What are their opinions on the hot-button topics:

the clave; yo man those totally bad clave dudes are everywhere. they’re the illuminati or some shit.

the founders’ council; aye, the old dudes are alright.

protecting hollow grove; won’t need protecting if we could all just live happily together.

humans; he is one, so he is very pro humans and wants to bring about a world where everyone cohabits well.

supernatural rights; he thinks with the right restrictions, then peace is possible. he knows it’ll take work and wants everyone to come together to bring the pro points to the table.

Anything else you feel we should know about the candidate: His hair game is very fabulous and strong. Whether he becomes mayor or not, expect a magical hair care range to stores in 2019.
